What's still original hardware on your rig and how many miles?

This kind of thread might already be out there but if so, I couldn't find it.

I am getting incredible life out of the hardware ("hardware" meaning engine, transmission, CV axles, etc.) on my 2000 T4R. It has the original transmission, CV axles, engine and fuel pump. This is at almost 300K.

My original brake booster crapped out at 295K. I know of no other vehicle that seems to have this durability.

So - what is ORIGINAL on your rig (and still going) and how many miles on that ORIGINAL hardware?

I'm at 397,000 right now. So far the only things that I have replaced (other than typical wear & tear stuff) are...

Radiator
CVs (I could have rebooted, they tore after I added my lift)
Fuel pump
Fuel injectors
Fan clutch
VSV
Starter (replaced contacts and plunger only)
Alternator

Going in for tb/wp and valve cover gaskets next week. Hoping to make it to 500k.

It would probably be easier to list the parts that I've replaced – than it would be to list the original parts that I haven't replaced – but what's the fun in that?

So my engine, transmission and all 4wd components are original to the truck. They haven't been rebuilt or overhauled in anyway.

The fuel pump and original starter finally shit the bed this summer at pretty much the exact same time – which made diagnosing the problem of a "no-start" situation that had me scratching my head for a while as I slowly figured out it was just bad luck that they went at the same time – a real joy. But I honestly can't complain about those components finally giving up the ghost at 430,000 miles or whatever at the time.

Now I need to buy another set of tires since my ATPs I purchaseda couple years ago have 80k on them now and I fully expect to run my truck up over the half million mile mark within the next two years.

So basically everything is original aside from obvious wear items like brakes/tires/suspension/steering components. But all the big ticket items are still going strong.

Holy Moses Batman? You have 397K on your rig and on the original transmission and engine? (God I love these rigs!)

Yeah, I actually have a supercharger and a low mileage transmission (with a level10 valve body) sitting in storage. My plan was to find a low mileage engine and install them all, once my original craps out. Here I am nearly 200k later, still waiting. Unfortunately, low mileage engines are getting pretty scarce (not sure how I feel about JDM).
I love these things too, they are so damn reliable!

These rigs of ours are more devoted than Mother Theresa. I find myself "hoarding parts" when I go to pullapart. I am glad I am not the only one who does this (as it sounds from your response).

I figure one day, these 3rd gens will be a hot commodity - and everyone will want one for their absolute bullet-proof reliability. So glad other enthusiasts are having the same durability and reliability from these incredible vehicles!!! Keep the comments/experiences coming!

I hear you, I'm actually considering picking up a totaled one just so I can get my hands on the interior. Mine is in pretty good shape, but my driver's seat is starting to split at the lower bolster. The one I'm looking at looks remarkably clean. Hard to find Moon Mist interiors in good shape.

Looking to move and buy a bigger house with hopefully a bigger two or 3 car garage and to a work shop so I can start hoarding for my future!
Engine, tranny, difs, transfer, interior, power steering pump & rack, starter... all stock... not sure about the fuel pump but it most likely is.

Suspension has been fully upgraded with skids and winch/bumper.

I love this rig and hope to someday start collecting low milage replacement drivetrain/engine stuffs. Only at around 233k right now and runs fantastic. I keep up on all maintenance religiously....

I'm at 227k and it's my daily driver. Things I replaced suspension, radiator, lbjs (safety sake at 225), rear axle seals and bearings, throttle positioner sensor and oxygen sensors and clutch master and slave cylinders.

Everything else is original including clutch, brakes engine, starter, alternator, drivetrain etc. I agree, these vehicles seem to last forever.

Your truck looks awesome for the mileage! How does it drive? Congrats!

I've had 8 3rd gens. They fetch a pretty penny in my area and I'm always craigslist shopping so anytime I find one that needs a little love or one a few hours away for a good price I'll pick it up, enjoy it for a bit and sell it here where buyers are always looking for clean rust-free runners. Its a fun hobby that pays!

My daily driver/personal truck just turned 242k and is one of the cleanest 3rd gens in the area. I can't pump gas without someone offering to buy it (people in chattanooga really love them that much). I've had much nicer cars that I've never had offers on. This one's had the ball joints done, timing belt 3 times, water pump twice, ac compressor, alternator, rear shocks, axle seals, rear brakes, and steering rack/sway bar bushings replaced. Everything else is original.

The highest mileage I've owned had 312k on it and everything except the coils, starter contacts, and alternator were original including ball joints, shocks, etc. Timing belt and water pump were done once around 200k. The truck actually ran and drove great with the exception of some rear bounce and sway due to extremely worn shocks. Daily drove it for about 6 months and never had a single issue aside from the starter contacts. Love these trucks!

224,268 miles.

As far as I know, the following stuff is original:
- Powertrain: engine, trans/transfer case, differentials, axles. CV boots are fine, no lift.
- Alternator and starter
- A/C compressor, power steering pump and rack
- Suspension (including bushings) except the balljoints, service history from the Toyota Owners site shows the recall being done
- Rear brake drums and shoes. I replaced the front pads and rotors. Brake socks are original too
- Exhaust manifolds and tailpipe. Replaced both cats, muffler, and front air/fuel sensor
