What's that compartment in the back?

Bought a 2004 SR5 4WD last week. Am loving it. In the back cargo area, there is a large compartment containing straps on the passenger side. What's that for?

I'm pretty sure thats where the subwoofer is for the radio if you get the JBL 10-speaker. In non-JBL vehicles its storage.

The straps can also hold a First-Aid kit.

I keep my fire extinguisher and some window cleaning gear in that compartment. Very handy.

Don't overlook the two small compartments over the wheel wells. I put cargo straps in there.

My toyota hitch is in mine.

I keep a rolled up blanket and emergency supplies in the straps just in case.

Space blanket and those glow stick lights and first aid kit.

Mine holds a quart of Mobil 1 oil and a roll of toilet paper. No telling when you'll be out in the middle of nowhere, needing one or the other.

i looked in there and didn't see the compartment in mine - is it not available for the 2005 v6 4wd SR5 with 3rd row seat? i did take the 3rd row seats out. didnt notice a compartment there.

can someone take a pic of it? thanks.
or maybe i'll take a pic of mine and see if anyone can point out where it's.

I believe it is missing on 4R's with the 3rd row seats.....makes sense because the subwoofer/JBL is unavailable on models with the 3rd row.

The roll of toilet paper takes less room if you take out the cardboard tube. Then you can flatten the roll.

Actually, I find the cardboard core not all that hard to flatten...

I also stuff the roll into a ziploc bag, so it's stays dry.

I have 3rd row seats and it is there. If you are standing at the rear liftgate, look on the right side and you will see a door with two latches on the side. Inside are two straps to hold stuff down .

Actually, I find the cardboard core not all that hard to flatten...

I also stuff the roll into a ziploc bag, so it's stays dry.
