Is that for real?!? What a d-bag! hardcore d-bag! The Mazda maintained a pretty standard following distance imo. The BMW driver was a complete ASS and jeopardized the safety of anyone on that road by stopping the way he did. That must have been a little punk kid driving the Mazda since he immediately complied with the guy. Sorry to say I would not have done the same.

No matter what, he should have waited for a passing area to stop.

And wait, I noticed that the camera is steady, it might be mounted in a tripod that alerted the BMW driver someone is filmin his ass.
In roads like that 50 percent of my attention goes to the vehicle behind me. I can notice if he have DRL, if the driver is wearing sunglasses..things like hanging in his rear view mirror..or if his passenger has camera...It would be a different reaction if you know someone is taking pictures, filmin and theres only you infront. But STILL I will wait a safer way, like confront him later, or ask someone with authority to search his camera for it somewhat violates my privacy about his real purpose when my vehicle and my license plate is in his video recordings...sometimes people can be paranoid.
