Project Werewolf

Mostly started with my parents calling it "the beast", but I found that corny cause my friends would call their rigs the same thing.
I like wolves so for a little while I called it "silver wolf" but then I one day I thought since this truck has been a never ending project, my parents still call it the beast and it seems to "transform" from a slow normal-ish SUV on road to a capable off road SUV...

My buddy named mine the "4Yoter" when i bought it and it has stuck ever since

My buddy started calling my red 86' the 4 Skinner, or maybe foreskinner, lol. I don't know why but it stuck. Haven't came up with one for the 87' runner yet, I'm sure one day the right situation will come along and something will stick.

Well, I remember my dad's 94 SR5 that was tan and had a brown striping down the side. He lovingly referred to it as the 4-Skinner. There was a high school kid in my town who recently purchased it from a guy who bought it from us 5 years ago, and apparently the nickname stuck, as he calls it the same thing!

My 2000 is called the Black Burro, as it's not quite a stallion when it comes to speed, but it'll haul whatever I need it to and it keeps going!

Originally named it "Lucille Roxanne" back when I first got her...
Since then I've revamped the entire powertrain with a multitude of various other Toyota truck parts and pieces and the name came to me when I was hunting for a clever vanity plate:

The Zrunner. Call it that after the 1UZ I installed.

I call mine the "toyoturd". When I got it the previous 2 owners had neglected it to say the least. the fixes over the first 6 months are in order:

-engine rebuild and headgasket job (typical of the 3.SLOW)

-new rear wheel bearings and gear oil, the old gear oil had NEVER been changed with over 150K miles on the clock, and was full of rust and water, gave the rear end a good clean and filled it up.

-New upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rod ends.

-New Brake calipers and rotors

-New distributor

-New TPS

and I expect to replace the CV shafts or put new dust boots on them.

Even though it is fixed and free of its mold problem ( I live in washington) the name has still stuck.

Since my 4runner is silver, I thought the name "Shady Lady" had a nice ring to it. I just have to convince my husband.
