This is also where I would start. Pull out the glove box and remove the cabin filter from the housing, then you can look and/or reach in there to see if anything is on the fan blades. The blades face up so if anything gets in there, it bounces it around like the ball on a roulette wheel. I had a similar noise and somehow an acorn was in there.
