and why was it cut? takeing my dash apart and i saw this wire with a clean cut?it plugs into a black box,and also my clock has no power to it and no plugs to plug into it?
whats this wire?

it looks like the other end is plugged into some silver box. whats on that end?

from that i can see it connects to the black box and the black box connects to the aux autlets...

i wonder if its just a tapped power wire. its not stock so just trace where it go back to.

I would almost guess antenna for whatever the silver box is, but hard to tell what its plugged in to.

ill take a better picture soon but the box is black and it has 4 small 16 gauge wires black and yellow that power the cigaretter lighters....

ok heres a better photo...i was able to pull the box out,and my stereo system is a pioneer...is this stock or what? makes me think that at one point my car was once a stolen car....

It's just an Ipod adapter that goes to whatever stereo deck you have. The white cord that is cut is the cord that plugs into an iPod

Looks like that wire is a cut Apple Device connection wire. On the pioneer box it says "to iPod" which I can only guess it had a 30 pin connection on the other end that fits Apple devices. The stereo probably used the box as an adapter to use an ipod or iphone.
Edit: Damnit downpour you beat me to it....
im not sure,heres the setup im not seeing any extra plugs off the main harness
Yea, it seems like you have everything plugged in correctly. I guess I don't know what would be wrong then. Maybe look for loose wires. Did it work before you took everything apart?

OP - it was just installed because your cd deck didn't have the iPod plugin built in, so the PO just bought an adapter. Maybe the PO's girlfriend was sick of listening to his music so she cut the cord to piss him off.

shouldnt there be something plugged into the clock? it is the one under the hazzard light...unless it steals power from somewhere else? where is the fuse? i cant seem to find it...

hmm, I know for a fact there is one plug that ends up with nothing in it. I can't remember which on it is. Try moving the one from the hazards to the one for the clock and see if both still work. I know one plug fits in 2 places but only one place needs a plug in it, just don't remember which one.

ha!! got it! thanks for your help guys!
for future refference the plug that controlls the hatch window gos into the clock and the window steals power from the clock switch!
