What's your favorite thing about your 4Runner?

I sit in my cockpit and I'm in power. Almost a 360 view if I turn to my blind spots; lots of legroom for my 6'2", yet the cab is tight and the truck is quite narrow; sit high but I feel like I ride low when reclined; and I have a very reliable and very strong 4WD beast under my control; I carry my family in comfort and safety. All that comes back to the power issue--the Runner makes me feel real.

I second the rear window. I don't know why nobody else has tried to use the idea. Also the fact that every generation is bada$$.

Gas mileage I get over my old landcruiser. 20 vs. 10 mpg's.....no contest

We have three of them in the family now, (two are HiLux, one is a diesel extracab pick-up). The ones in Brazil really show themselves to be the perfect cars for their environment. The roads suck, the rains are brutal, but the landscape is gorgeous and worth going way into the bush to see. These cars are reliable, tough, valiant and fun to drive. One thing--that's impossible--it's the whole package that keeps us buying these things.

It's got a roll down rear window.
Close runner ups-- it isn't based on an FWD platform (it's actually a truck... is that so hard other companies?) and it's got a solid rear axle unlike the pathfinder.
And of course the reliability is nice, too

Ha yeah, I'm with ya there... Still miss the LC, though...
The rear window thing is nice, I love putting ALL the windows down.

Reliability, completely functional for a huge range of lifestyles, good looks.
I love the fact that I can literally go anywhere I want in this thing (here in the midwest anyway, lol). I can get it filthy dirty, haul the dog, pull a trailer, drive through fields to get to the fishing pond, etc......and then the next day I can wash it, put the wife and kid in it, and drive it to the Plaza in downtown K.C. for dinner and shopping. And it fits into both situations perfectly!

I've been looking at newwer 4runners... but if I find another low mileage 3rd gen 4wd I'd get it in a heartbeat.

I love that I can wheel in 100+ degree weather and idle all day long climbing over everything I point it at and the cab stays a wonderful 70 degrees and I never sweat and neither does the runner :bigok: Best AC and cooling system I have ever had in a runner of other generations.
