What's your fuel mileage?

What kinda mpg are you guys getting? I wanna hear year, mileage, engine size, added weight, lift/no lift, tire size etc... as of right now I'm in a stock 2006 4x4 V6 and only getting like 15.7 city. My ICON lift arrives Monday so I wanna upgrade to 285s, but I feel like I'm gonna go down to around 13mpg city. Just curious if this is average or not.

I have a stock 2006 full time 4wd V8 getting 17.7 city. I was getting 17.8 but then I put on new tires and lost .1 mpg lol
No lift, tire size is 265/65/17
A/T Coopers. And I feel like I have a heavy foot at times but not on purpose, and then sometimes it's good to see if "she's still got it" lol
Only "modification" I did was change the air intake filter to a K&N. Just the filter. The whole assembly is illegal here in California.
So no I don't feel as if though that's normal. I do remember when I purchased the truck it was showing 14.8. And it didn't change despite my driving abilities and after a couple fill ups I decided to reset it at the gas station. Filled up and headed on freeway, got up to 24mpg, then got off freeway and drove city, it dropped to 17.8, then with new tires down to 17.7, and now it just stays at 17.7. Hope this helps.

Very interesting... I do think the V8 helps with engine expenditure, but I still feel like I am definitely below average. I will admit I do accelerate somewhat aggressively, but definitely not flooring it. Curious to hear more accounts.
 
It might help to add, my typical drive to/from work and class is less than .5 miles per light or stop sign. This might be a significant influence. I still only get around 20mpg cruising at 70mph on highway though.

Yes I do also believe that you are way below average. And plus the V6 is just a part time 4WD. So with just the RWD daily driving you should be getting a lot more mpg. Like I said the V8 is the full-time 4WD and I'm getting 17.7. I thought I would be getting less, as I was told lol
What's the fuel range you get? I can go up to 340 miles and that's mostly city driving and a bit of aggressiveness too. I drove a 2011 4cyl Camry prior to 4R and was getting up to 400 miles. And Idk if it makes any difference but mine has that X-REAS suspension in there as well.

I feel the same, I will have to reset my trip calculator and see how many miles I am getting per full tank. Interested to see if anyone with a V6 is experiencing the same. Could require a tune up to improve? Currently at 192k miles so fluids could require a replacement.
 
Best 17.5. Worst 15.25. Average 16.5. At fill up. Gallons filled/miles since last fill up.

87k miles 07 v6 4x4. Stock. I think it's 16/20 for 4x4. And 17/20 for the 4x2.

I'm kind of bummed at the low mileage. Before purchase I was expecting 18-18.5.

I'm not sure how mine is so good, but I get about 15-16 city and 17-18 hwy. Mines a 2008 v6 4wd. I'm lifted about 4 inches, and have 33" tires. I have hand calculated it many times and it's always in that ball park. Also, my on board computer is almost dead accurate now too which is nice.

I have the V6, 2wd, lifted 4.5" with 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers. Always average between 16.1 and 16.5 mpg's, hand calculated at every fill up. I have a 52 mile round trip commute that is about 75% highway. I usually get about 320 miles to a tank. I also recently added a k+n full intake system, but it didn't change my mpg's at all.
 
I'm stock right now. V6 4x4 getting about 19.5mpg (calculated at the pump, my dash says 22.2mpg) in mostly traffic. If anyone is familiar with 270 in MD, that's my commute everyday. I have about 1/3 backroads and 2/3 highway traffic. 28mi each way.

Tires won't wear evenly when over-inflated, so its a trade-off that will likely cost more in the long run over the fuel savings


I average ~13-14 4WD '04 V8 w/265/70/17s and a steel bumper. (The Falkens are heavier than most)

Mostly heavy city driving with a heavy foot ('cause who doesn't love the sound of the V8 :lol: )

Yeah, I wasn't going to REALLY fill up but I'm starting to think mine may be a little low? I have noticed that kinda squishy rubber sound when tires slowly turn with windows down as if they were aired down even though TPMS hasn't said a word. My lift arrives Monday though:whoo::whoo::whoo: so I'm gonna ditch these tires soon anyway for some 285s

I never rely on TPMS, especially since the light is always on. I think the trigger point is more like 25 PSI, so slightly low won't trigger it anyway.

My 285s are getting installed whenever they arrive later this week, prob. Wed. also bumping up to a full 3/2" lift. We'll see how my mileage drops
 
lots of traffic in my area, so my mpg within the city sucks, dash says 12.5mpg, on the highway, i usually average 19/20mpg, hv done 340miles, on a full tank and light didnt come up.
removing the hcf bumped up my mpg

We're going to almost the same size at the same time lol. I'm stock now, but I got the ICON stage 1 coming in which should give me 3/2 and then some 285s. Gonna have to compare mileage.
 
2004, all stock, V8, 265/65/R17's, getting 16.8 MPG on the dash. TPMS has failed in one(+?) tire(s), though, so probably running a little low in pressure most of the time.
