As far as the obesity issue, I think it's a little more complex than the short commute issue. Consider the type of food commonly available, as well as the standard portion sizes in our country. And most people don't have a short commute to work like I do; most commute very far because it's cheaper to live outside of the area where most business is conducted (at least it's this way in California). If I didn't have my unique circumstances, I'd be riding a bike to work more regularly, but as it stands, I don't. I think the 4Runner can take it, so long as I take care of it.
Anyway, now we're really off topic! Back to the mileage and age...

The 4runner is my wife's primary vehicle. I used to have a Lexus that she was OK with driving and we'd swap back and forth but right now I have a 6-speed manual Audi that she's scared to drive (inexperienced with a stick).
Anyhow, with that out of the way she got it on 10-30-2004... it was one of the first 2005s in the country if I recall correctly because it was supposed to be a V8 and was going to be one of the first with VVT-i on the 'net.
It currently has about 20,500 miles on it, though 1/3rd of that has been in the last 4 months or so since she finally got all finished with her masters degree/CPA/etc and is in the working world.
Oh and just for kicks, my 2006 Audi was leased 11-2-2005 (about 13 months ago) and was about to cross the 15k mile mark as I drove to work. That means I'm safely within my 15k/yr contract.
