Wheel alignment after Daystar 2.5/1.5 Spacer Kit

I have a couple of questions regarding your post installation experience.

1) Has the wheel alignment shop charged you more because of the lift?

2) Have you re-torqued the upper and lower control arms in the front while the car was at it new "normal" position? With the front spacer both control arms are pushed down and so their bushings become twisted which result in a faster wear. Did you re-torque them after the lift, with the car being on the ground?

Thanks,
Max

1 - My shop did not charge me extra for alignment after the lift.

2 - During alignment process the shop loosen the lower control arm nuts/bolts to re-adjust for proper alignment. No adjustment to the upper control arm since it's not touched.

Thanks cmoua for the input.

I think that the upper control arm still needs to be re-torqued, in order to loosen its twisted bushings. The bushings have to be in relaxed, untwisted state when the car is on the ground. The addition of the spacer pushes both control arms down therefore puts some twisting tension on all 4 bushings.

Some cars even need to have some weights put on each seat, to get the car to its "normal" position before the wheels aligned and control arms are re-torqued.

It makes sense that during the alignment the control arms are re-adjusted and therefore are re-torqued. Still there is a possibility that only one control arm will be adjusted during the alignment.
