I would just go to the local sporting goods and buy 16 oz. of plastic BBs if you're gonna go that route. You'll have to break the tire off the bead to get them in, but that's still cheaper than those.
Neat. Do those rattle at all?
Those will keep the tire perfectly balanced all the time, right?
I just may do that Brian......and Maritimer....I don't know if they rattle or not, but I'm told that the wheels will definately balance with no issues. There are some things to consider, according to a informational video on the E-bay site, other products (like BBs), need the force generated by the wheels to go where they are supposed too, everytime you stop and go again. This product, apparently sticks to the inner tire, and therefore, is always balanced. The only way to move them, is if you:
A) hit the sidewall with a tire iron repeatedly
B) break the bead, and then scoop them out
The product sounds great, and the BBs sound like a good alternative, so I may look into that. The only problem is, I've already had my dad mount these tires for me. Taking them off, would mean him using his huge Tire Hammer (like a sledge hammer, but with a wedged end on it), and possibly damaging my newly painted wheels. OR, spending more money to have them de-mounted by some shop.............
