Wheel bearing re-packing

I bought new steering knuckle assemblies off a guy on yotatech because mine are super rusty, and while the bearings look and feel alright, I do see some heavy grease in the hub. I expect there to be a little leakage, but I figure since I have time, and the hubs are off the vehicle, and i will be cleaning them anyway for painting, if they are re-packable, I might as well do it (I would get to learn how to repack bearings as well).

Are the front wheel bearing on 3rd gen 4runners re-packable?
How about the rears?

Are you redoing the wheel bearing on your 4Runner with 115k because they have gone bad?

I have yet to have any wheel bearing issues and am at 200k. I have been lifted 3" on 31" tires since 2007.

No, I don't know of any problems with the bearings. I just figured if it is doable, I'd learn how to do it it, and just refresh the bearings before putting them on my vehicle.

I used a 2 jaw puller from Sears and pulled mine apart. Just like the FSM says to do.

If they turn pretty smooth and you don't feel any grit, leave em alone. Just re-install. Now, if detect any roughness, change them out.

Not pulling the axle hub stub shaft. I was talking about removing the bearings from the steering knuckle.
