Wheel bearing replaced still play?

So I replaced drivers front bearing.. Noise is still there, but no play. Everything is torqued properly. I know it's the drivers bearing. The swerve test proves it. I've decided to just buy a complete new spindle assembly on eBay off a salvage truck. Theres lots of them on there. I think my hub is damaged looks like someone beat on it. That's the only thing I can think of to do. SCREW THIS HUMMING NOISE THOUGH!!! Damn

unable to start new thread. Hello, I have a 1997 limited and I'm having issues with the rear right wheel bearing. This job started with me getting a alignment done and the shop could not because I had play in the Right Rear Bearing.

I changed the rear axle seals, bearings, ABS "gear" but my back right wheel bearing still has play when pushing on the 12 and 6 o clock position. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the only thing I can think of is something with the rear diff. The left side is fine but the right still has play.

Out of desperation to be able to drive the 4runner I went to a junk yard and was going to grab the whole axle and assembly but before i did check the rear wheel bearing and it had play too than I check the back left and it was zero play. So is it a common issue or normal. Any help please

You get the bearing into the entire way?

Is your third member really noisy? As if you have play in your third the bearing and gears it gets really noisy when they go bad..

Drove it no noise and Put the bearing in the proper amount I believe same as the other side did the the grease test on the seals too. Could it be the housing for the bearing?

Just out of curiosity, what bearings did you use OEM or OEM Mfg and were did you get them from?

If you have play how much we talking about? Like you are comparing to the passenger side and its really bad?

As I have had very warn rear wheel bearings and excellent alignment. As once they are bolted in and the drum brakes are adjusted up they really shouldn't move much at all as the brake drums will hold it in place as well.

Aftermarket small vendor amazon bearings played me. Strictly OEM on this part. Based on this thread KOYO and NSK are good. I've heard good thing about Timken bearings too.

Oem mfg is just as good. As oem. I sometimes use a lot of oem mfg to save costs...

If they are Koyo from Napa those are likely the OEM bearings, I know this is the case on the rear.
