Wheel Center Caps

My 1996 SR5 has center wheel caps (plastic, of course) in really bad shape. I want to go ahead and replace them. How do you remove the center plastic caps? Is it very hard, and do you need to remove the whole wheel? I read through the forum and didn't see anything about how exactly to go about removing and installing these things.

Thanks

In most cases you should be able to grab and pull them off. If not there are slots you can put a flat head screw driver and pry them out. Not hard and don't have to remove the tire/rim from the truck.

Its what the pointy end of the factory lug wrench is for. Put it in the slot and give it a twist to loosen it. Once it's loose you can pull it off with your hand. To put them back on just make sure they're lined up and give it a pop with the palm of your hand, you'll hear it "pop" into place.
