wheel diameter and offset for 06 sport 4wd

I am considering getting some new wheels and tires and I have been thinking about getting some FJ wheels and then have them painted black. I like the TRD wheels, but I am not sure if the 16" dia will clear the brakes or not. I also have Spidertrax, which give my existing wheels, that have a +30mm offset, an effective offset of about -1.75mm. The FJ wheels have an offset of +15mm, which would then become an effective offset of -16.75mm with the Spidertrax. Is this too much? I expect to do some minor front fender trimming,but nothing too major. The tires I am planning on getting are the BFG in a 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 depending on the wheel I get. Some of the aftermarket wheels I have been looking at have a 0mm to -12mm offsets, so I wouldn't use the Spidertrax with those. What are your thoughts. Thanks.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think all the sports have the bigger brake package requiring 17" wheels to clear them.

That is what I was wondering about. I have looked at a few websites for wheels and they didn't seem to be offering 16" for my vehicle. Only 17" and up.

I’ve been looking at wheels and offset a lot lately. I’m fairly sure the TRD wheels are 17X7. And also a caliper clearance vs a 16”. And 4mm offset. And although the /70/s recommended a 7.5” wheel, many say no problem. Seems like your best bet with no spacers. Especially for off road. If you are racing that thing on the street, prob a wider wheel and shorter tire.
