Wheel "drag" resistance?

Hey guys, new owner here loving the Runner. You guys rock so far so Im hoping someone may have an idea on some posssible causes..I have been getting alot of wheel shake on stops for the past week so I assumed my rotors/pads/ or calipers were done..I tore em down yesterday and they were fine..BUT I noticed when I spun the tires my driver front wheel did not turn as easy as the passenger tire and it had a ton of DRAG or resistance..Im thinking this is part of the problem..Could this be something like a wheel bearing ?? But doubtfull since Im only at 85k in my 04 2wd! Thoughts comments suggestions all welcomed. Thanks!

Search for frozen caliper. Common issue that sounds like your problem.

The calipers tend to get stuck in the closed position, only solution is new calipers.

I would take the wheel & tire off, then remove the pads. Then spin & see if there is resistance. It sounds to me as though you have a brake pad wear/rotor issue (which may not be visible by just looking at it), or your brake caliper is not releasing. I would not think you have a wheel bearing issue. (A lot of this is speculation based on my experiences.)

Have fun & let us know what you find out...

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I removed the pads and checked to see if the calipers and pistons were stuck they were good to go and not seized..The pads and rotors were clean looking not half worn even by my feel. The pads are a year old. I believe the rotors were also done then but not 100%. So assuming its not a rotor issue (I know It could be- I understand the naked eye may not detect a slight warp) What else might cause a wheel to be difficult to turn and not spin freely?

Just got back from my indy mechan. Just As you guys guessed..I am now in the frozen caliper club! :crybaby:
Do You guys reco the Napa ones?
