Wheel Noise Issue

Alright...two issues:

1. Similar to previous post, I have noise in, what seems to be, the front-left wheel when I turn even the slightest left. This noise is proportionate to speed and is unchanged if I apply brakes or place into neutral. The best way to describe this noise is it sounds like I have a knobby tires when I am anything more than slightly left of center. Also, there is no visible tire wear.

2. About six months ago I changed the calipers front left and right. Since doing this, my TRAC and VSC lights won't go out. Brakes work fine. ???

Wheel bearing. Lift it and move the wheel. If there's play you need to change it. I'm going through the same problem.

That's what I thought. I didn't want to say so as to not influence the responses. Well, looks like they're around $100 each side for the front, does that check with you? Any gotchas in replacing them?

Fixed it. It was indeed the front left bearing.

Took off the wheel, caliper, rotor, housing and dust cover. Getting the nut off that holds the bearing in the housing was a pain in the ass. We had to ultimately heat it up with a acetylene torch:flamethrwoer2: before it would really move. We then had to remove the bearing with a hydraulic press and replace it with the new one in the same manner. Put it all back together and it's good to go.

By the way, don't forget to put the dust cover back on in the correct orientation. Someone else had mentioned this in a previous post yet I still mucked it up and had to re-attack.
