Hey guys I just want some opinions on what I should do with my wheels.

Im satisfied with the look right now but at times I feel like its a little too shiny for me. Did a little looking around at some different setups and I'm stuck between 3 options or 4 maybe.. lol

Option 1: Keep the setup I have now. ;P

Option 2: Buy Spidertrax or All-Pro Spacers and reinstalling my stock 5 stars :D

Option 3: I really like the LC80 wheels and the look of them but I have no clue where I could find these at o.O

Also wondering about those LC wheels would i need some spacers for those as well?


If you guys have any other suggestions feel free to throw em out there!!

No offense, but anything is better than the wheels you have now. At least you are thinking strait now, haha.

My vote is LC wheels though, dont need a spacer.

Discout Tire wouldn't mount the stockies with the tires I bought because they didn't clear UCA's so they had me buy some rims with the tires -____-" but its w.e doe. Will be fixed soon. hahaha.

Yeah discount is dumb like that. They tried to force me to buy an $80 set of lug nuts when I had them install my new wheels recently. I was just like "just mount the wheels and tires and I will put them on the truck myself".. Stupid idiots.

Although they were right on the UCA's. I wouldn't install the tires either, haha.
 
my vote is for the other... i would use lexus lx450 wheels, very similar to the LC wheels but a little different

or id run these, ive really liked them ever sense i first set eyes on them but have never found any for sale anywhere... oh and i think platinum or glossy gunmetal would be a sweet color for your rig...

oh by the way, how do you like your trail grapplers, i was thinking about getting a set, it was a toss up between them and the new MTRs but i found a set of used bighorns first so im running them right now, and glad i didnt get the MTRs ive seen a couple set after about 10k miles and they look like they are half gone not impressed at all so the MTRs are out for me i do like my bighorns how ever and might go with them again. but i did love my terra grapplers i had before im inclined to give the trail grapplers a go round... whats your thoughts on them?
 
nothing wrong with your current wheels unless they are causing some kind of issues. You could always get them powder coated a different color. Maybe gun metal grey. LC80 wheels are great wheels and don't require spacers with 285s. They are a little hard to find and go quick. Like mentioned above, you could look for LX450 wheels. They are bout the same as the LC80 wheels but being a Lexus product, you're gonna dish out more $$... even for used ones.
 
LC80 wheels because:
- drop forged construction ie. Super super strong (the strongest wheel Toyota has ever built!)
- 8" width
- 4.5" BAckspacing (as others have said, no wheel spacers needed . And because they have an offset of 0, there is less leverage on your wheel bearings compared to an aftermarket wheel that is equivalent but will have a higher offset.)
- they are light for what they are I recall 21lbs per rim, don't quote me on that but the lighter they are the less rotational mass the 3.4 has to move!
- can't go wrong with OEM: keeping a somewhat OEM look looks cleaner.

OR I'm currently digging the Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels in black. Or the sidebiters...
 
I too have had Discount say they couldn't do something (mount tires on an old rim becuase of corrosion on the rim), but I honestly think it was just an excuse to try and get me to buy rims.

You might consider powder coating your current ones as was already suggested. That might look pretty sweet.... unless you can find some others that you fall in love with.
 
LC 80 source

Check out the IH8Mud classifieds. Im cheap so ill suggest blacking out the current wheels.
