wheel spacer and lug nut concern

I just went to install my wheel spacers last night and the lug nuts do not thread completely onto the OEM stud. I have researched the forum for a similar problem and I saw another user contacted the mfg and they said this is normal. I also looked it up on line and the general rule of thumb is that you only need as many threads as your stud is wide. I also contacted the mfg and they assured this was normal too.

However I have to be honest. It is a little bit of a concern to look at the lug nuts holding the spacers on and seeing several threads still in the lug nut.

My question is... has everyone else experienced this? Were you concerned?

I wouldn't worry about it... I have spidertrax spacers and the lugs did the same thing.

Look at it this way... It's better than having the stud stick out past the end of the lug nut. At least you know that as much of the stud as possible is holding the spacer on.

They probably just bought a generic lug to go into the kit instead of having a custom one made.
