i have a set (4) H&R wheel spacers... 30mm.

looks like that except its a 6x100 and a little dirtier.

Do wheel spacers put extra strain on the suspension? Is there much difference between 1-3" spacers? I have an 08 T4R SR5.

Several people use the Spidertrax 1.25" for a total widening of 2.5". They have no complaints about balance, centering the wheels etc. Provided you don't go beyond the equivalent of a zero offset you should be fine.
