wheel spacers or new rims

Hey guys-

Not too much in the know regarding spacers, so here is my question.

Since I put on the Daystar 2.5/1.5 on the runner I upgraded to the 275/70/17 BFG at KO's.

So, to get that little extra space from the control arm should I invest in spacers? I'm not rubbing at all with the fender plastic trimming and removing the front mud flaps. Will I rub with spacers? Should i just get some for the front? Will that make the truck ride different?

Or...should I invest the extra money and get some new rims. I really want some matte black of some sort. If I go this route, which size off set should I get. Will this help the situation at all? Again...I appreciate the help here, I'm not familiar with this at all.

I'm obviously not hitting the control arm, but I just wanted to get that little extra spacing...for piece of mind and looks.

The cheapest alternative is spacers. More then likely you will rub with spacers. It's a simple fix normally just trimming the front corner of the bumper and pushing the liner forward is enough. You might notice a slight difference in the ride but most likely not.

Your best bet if you can afford it is to get rims with the offset you want/need. Not sure stock offset for you but its probably around 30mm anything lower then that will push the wheel out away in the direction you want I think.. Use the search button there are a bunch of different offset pictures here. One common one is -12 if you went that route it would probably look a lot better then what you have now and it would give you a little wider stance for sure.
