Wheel Spacers

So I found some wheel spacers, I did contact them about the quality of the metal, which they say is 6061-T6. However what's everyone's opinion on going with 2.5" vs. 2" spacers?

2" or especially 2.5" will make your scrub radius huge, as well as put a ton of stress on your wheel bearings and spindles, 1.25 or 1.5" are pretty much even with the fenders on stock backspaced wheels.

Well I'm running two inch wheel spacers and I do not scrub unless its full bump trying to turn and while it may put stress on wheel bearing and so on and so forth, rims with a crazy offset and backspacing will do the same thing.... Also I have wheeled hard with mine which look like the same ones you're looking at and have not taken off a fender yet. Just my .02

Was already mentioned above, but a spacer that big will put a lot of stress on your linkage components. And it will make the front end feel much more unstable and sloppy on the road. Personally I wouldn't go beyond 1.5". But that's just me. The 3rd gen steering rack isn't so great at handling additional stress
 
Also take into account that the original hub studs on the front of 4Runners/Surfs are shorter than the rears. This means when you mount the spacers over the studs on the front and go to tighten them on, the standard nuts may not get a whole deal of rotations over the studs.

Use the search tool and you'll see the discussion and what folks have done to work around this (special nuts or replacing the studs).
 
I did however have to buy ET lug nuts to put my mind at ease and make sure to use thread locker because [MENTION=63453]J i m s t e r[/MENTION] is right about the threads being shorter. But I did read somewhere that if you can count 7 turns or 7 threads thats as strong as it will ever be, also I'm lifted and rims have 4.5 back spacing....
 
I bought 2" spacers and i was only able to get 6 turns on the front studs of my 03 . The directions that came with mine said at least 8 turns so i sent them back.
 
as said above 1.25 or 1.5 tops. I'm running 1.5 & had to put longer wheel studs on. I bought the ARP for Lexus studs because they're bad ass.
