New to 4Runners but I have an FJ Cruiser that I have loved wheeling. However I was gifted a running bone stock 95 4runner in great condition, except the head gasket leak. I have already learned that this is all to common.
End goal is to build the 4Runner to be as capable, if not more ,than the FJ, for 20K less.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have only had it about a week and I'm ready to get started.
From what I have read so far some long tube headers, cam grind, and a re-gear are in order as far as performance goes.
I will probably do a semi cheap lift at first and then move to full long travel once the funds are available later this year.
Other than that any ideas recommendations? I will spend most of its time over landing with the occasional play day on the rocks here in Utah.
