Wheelers off-road rear extended brake lines

Has anybody installed the extended brake lines from wheelers off-road ? I pick up a pair and installed last weekend but it seems that the metal portion on the brake line is too big to fit into the holding bracket and reinstall the clip.

No there are others out there but this is "suppose" to be the best bang for your buck, and not picking up some cheap POS. Crown performance is what I currently have in the front and I have nothing but good things to say. Guess I should of spent a couple extra bucks.

I've done front and rear, I had the same thought process...:frisky::gun5: bend those clips to a 60 degree angle!

i used the low range off road set for an fj and they look very similar. they is indentions in mount for the brakeline to sit in. if its not in the right spot the clip won't fit in. there should be a shoulder that fit right into the slot and you might have to loosen and turn. Also try to flatten the mount it might be bent and if all else fails zip tie it.... haha

I think the hole in the bracket is a circle with two flats on it just like a smaller version of the shiny silver fitting shown cocked there in the second pic (see the gap around the near side of the hole in top pic? That's the non-flatted portion of the hole. Turn that sucker 43.45454545° clockwise (referencing second pic again) and it should pop up in. The clip will only go on straight over the flats.

What I'm saying is that the whole in the black bracket is shaped like the green "oval" and the fitting on the line is shaped like that too. It'll only go into the bracket in one orientation (2 if you count 180 degrees to that), and in order to do that the OP needs to rotate the fitting on the end of the line by the angle shown in red.

I bought Metal Tech rear extended lines, they came with new clips to attach to the brackets.

So to prove I'm not retarded, the brake lines got pulled off with the bracket. ID of the bracket measures roughly 5/8 while the hose line measures about 3/4".
