Wheelers Offroad - BEWARE of return policy

More like a pug's version of the human centipede movie.

That movie was screwed up lol! They made a 3rd one to lol! As for the OP stop whining. Someone was even asking for part numbers to possibly purchase your spacers and you posted that BS response. Think wheelers offered you a fair deal. I highly recommend wheelers. They helped me out big time when the wifes FJ suspension quit on us in Moab. Quick shipping and great price on a full EMU kit.

Your return window expired. Wheelers didn't have to offer you anything, but they were nice enough to offer store credit anyways, because they obviously do care about their customers. I bet if they knew you would try to bad mouth them publicly, after going farther than they even needed to, they would've liked to tell you to pound sand.

I'm sure Wheelers has already eaten the percentage that the credit companies charged them last month when the cycle ended... thus the 30-day return policy. Fact is, the only reason they offered you anything is because they are a small mom and pop outfit and want to have a good reputation. 4WheelFarts would have told you to take a hike right off the bat.

Most people just don't understand how hard it is to actually make money running a small business.. between tiny profit margins, overhead, credit card fees, pleasing customers, etc... Entitlement sucks.

:fish2:#threadoftheyear

Nah that honor goes to another thread. But since this is still alive...

I've ordered from Wheeler on three different occasions, every time I've had EXEPTIONAL SERVICE. On one occasion a part was backordered and they called me several times to give an update and make sure I was comfortable with the time frame. Another time I ordered parts and they came in like half the quoted time. I mean these guys do an exceptional job both in delivery and exceeding my expectations. Kudos to them! :usa2:

This.

can one of the mods ban this b*tch? Every vendor on this site is top notch, never had a problem with any of them. All of them go out of their way to help even when they have d*ck heads like this trashing business.

A mod should change the thread title to "Vendors - BEWARE of this buyer trying to slander your company because he doesn't understand return policies"

Then lock the thread LOL

Is this real life? I had my son read this and he ask what is wrong with this man. I told him some people are broken and dont work properly. Even a 7year old understand what a policy is.

Maybe this guys is using reverse psychology and is actually an ad for wheelers. Anyone else want to buy from them now?

Nope, not gonna lock this (yet) unless you guys get out over your skis. Also not gonna ban the OP (again, yet) because to him, he had a legitimate gripe that was important enough to come here and spend time starting a thread about it. He broke no rules in his OP and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

If I locked and banned every single thread and every single member who posted something wrong we would have like 10 threads and 15 members left and yes, I would be banned too.

You guys have made me read this whole thread and waste 15 minutes of my life but guess what... I learned several things and reaffirmed several other concepts lol. What did I learn and what did I reinforce you ask?

1. Some people always want more for less and are never satisfied.
2. Understanding the concept of "fair" and "good" for some might as well be a course in advanced engineering mechanics as they won't understand that either.
3. Rules only apply to other people.
4. Policies are for losers.

1. Heartwarming to see that in some instances people can still think for themselves and not be led like sheep to a slaughter based on one person's opinion.
2. Wheeler's is obviously a good company that goes the extra mile for their customer.
3. There are some funny people who post here.
4. I still didn't get back my 15 minutes.

Carry on.

My brother owned a successful garage door company. He treated people fairly and with respect and always would pass on savings to his customers on things like model closeouts and would offer up blem's when available for people who wanted to save some $$$. In other words he always tried to take care of the customer and built a very successful small business based on that premise.

So... He had one customer who had new top of the line doors and openers installed in her garage and a couple weeks after she called him up and said she backed her Mercedes into one of the doors and asked if there was anything he could do.

You will note this woman was not lacking for money and lived in a very large, exclusive property. In the name of customer satisfaction he took the high road, replaced the 3 damaged panels on his dime and told her "it happens". Happy customer. Right?

Guess what? Sure enough about a month later she calls him and says the garage door opener freaked out and went down as she was backing out and before she noticed it, she hit it again. He knew she was lying because the damage was in the exact same place and the sensors will NOT allow the door to function if blocked.

He told her "I am sorry mam, but I cannot replace your garage door again for free since you ran into it again". She got pissed off and said "Well, you replaced it before and this should be covered under warranty".

So, she files a complaint with the BBB that he is not adhering to his warranty promises. She writes a scathing letter which is publicly visible on the KBB website. After realizing this woman could not be pleased at any cost short of a lifetime of free garage doors my brother posted a reply on the KBB website that simply said:

"Replaced garage door at no cost to customer (and full cost to me) after she ran into it with her car. Customer ran into garage door again a month later and wanted another free garage door. Recommend customer invest in larger mirrors for her car".

He got a lot of people calling and placing orders on that alone because most of us are sick of people who don't play by the rules and then get pissed when they get told "no". ;-)

This story made my day [emoji1]

I live 30 min from Wheelers. I ordered some things from them, the shipping would cost less than the gas and time it would have taken to pick them up. They called me, on their own, and asked me if I was sure I didn't want to do pick up since I live so close. I said no that's fine, thanks for calling but please ship them out. So rude of them to do that. Sarcasm aside, they have always price matched and answered any questions I had. Straight up good guys to deal with, and great service.

i am so glad i clicked on this thread cause the title was completely misleading.

MOD/ADMIN should definitely change the title.

on a side note:

TUMI outlet doesn't allow returns at all and the cashiers do not mention it. BEWARE OF THE TUMI OUTLET NO RETURN POLICY.

Had they told me when I called the first time (just prior to 30-day return policy deadline) that they wouldn't bend on their return policy period, I wouldn't have been pissed off at them. Unfortunately, after I told them I was behind in getting the work done and that I may have a few parts to return, but it may be a few weeks before I can get to it, they agreed that if parts were new, unused, uninstalled, I could still return them for a refund (minus re-stocking fee). I said "great, thank you". So when I called again last week and they asked "who did I talk to?" and told me, "no, we can't do that", I got pissed off. I guess my fault for not writing down the name of the person when I called the first time, but basicly they are telling me they don't believe me. $65 is not a lot of money, but if you going to agree to do something for a customer, stick by it. This all I have left to say about the matter, but flame away. I'm a big boy, I can take it.
