Wheelers Offroad Brake Line Question

Hey guys just installed new SS brake lines from Wheelers and based on the picture the lines seem a little tight on full turn. I can imagine much more tension if full droop and full turn. Also i noticed these lines are shorter than stock. I have a SS 1.2 lift on the 3rd perch up front. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have the same brake lines, they are very tight at full droop and the wheels turned. If I keep them I will lower the upper the upper brake tab down a little, there is enough room of the hard lines to drop them down a little.

Im going to call Wheelers on monday to see what the deal is. What do you think will happen if i remove the upper tab so there is more play? Do you think there would be too much tension for the hardlines?

Anywhere else sell longer? I see Toytec has front brake lines. I would want to go longer then that to be safe.

I just made new brackets to bring the upper brake tabs exactly 1" outward and 3/4" downward. This is more than sufficient slack to relieve the tension off the brake line once drooped and at full turn.




The old mounting point marked with silver marker..



At full droop and full lock...no sway bar.

Wow thats rather lame, why are they not longer than stock?
Their website states that they are OEM length, has anyone else experienced problems with Wheelers brake lines?

The 4Runner line is 19.5" and the Tundra is 21".
The one for the 4Runner is good for up to 3" of lift, maybe slightly more though.

So my question now is: has anyone in here used the rear brake line of the 1999-2006 Tundra on a 3rd gen 4Runner?

i could have sworn i saw something that converted the front 2 piece soft/hard line combo to a single soft line, while still providing enough extended length for us 2-6" lifted folk. anyone know what i am talking about? was it a tundra line swap or am i getting that confused with the tundra caliper swap?
