So yesterday,

me and my buddies were wheeling up in Truckee and Past an town called Sierraville.. we drove and Disco, mine and my buddy's 4th gen. there was suppose to be 4 but we couldn't find him.

So after waking up at 0400.. made it up to my friend's house around 0700 and this is starting to get interesting.. we started to trail ride around 1100

we were suppose to meet on the trail but the coordinates on the map was wrong.. after driving down on 650, we stopped to air down and my buddy's dash broke.. feeling lost and all, we were like, let's just go to the reservoir and call it a day..

out of the 1000's of acres, we saw our other buddy 20 ft away from where we were airing down..

we gather up together and started to follow the trail markers..

after driving in n out in the woods. we took some pictures, had lunch and etc..

but my buddy's was ahead a lot and that's where I lost him.. I made the wrong turn and we ended up about 3 hours lost.. Gps didn't work. Phone no signal.. no maps or anything.. we were s.o.l. We kept driving in circles and it was getting no where. The trail markers didn't do jack.. the road has probably been never driven on for who knows how long..

but after driving around in circles, we found my buddy's 4th gen out of no where.. you didn't know how happy I was..

we kept driving and driving till like 1700 and that's when my friend's disco fuel light came on... there we were, middle of no where..

luckily, we tried another trail that had inclines and declines that put me on the edge of the seat. but this trail was the life saver.. after trenching along for 30 minutes, my buddy in the disco send an scout out.. he kept walking and that's when he saw an fire road.. and you have no how happy we all were..

after being in the forest for 7 hours.. I learned my lesson..

always fill up before heading in.. bring food and water for at least 2 days..
bring an firearm for protection.. what firearm did you guys bring?

my runner had a little scuffle with the rocks and the running boards are a little bend.. but coming back out and alive.. priceless.

from the Bolivia's Special on Top Gear.. Richard Hammond " The Toyota will always bring you home " .. my runner brought me home safe and sound.

I willvpost some pictures up later tonight.. but an wheeling trip turned into survival trip..

after this trip,

I'm going to invest in a pair of sliders and an air pump.. Which pump would you guys recommend?

I definitely am one to preach about preparing for the worst an expecting the best. Pack enough to be comfortable for an extra day and night on the trail. It may sound extreme, but this turns to routine and after a couple times doesn't take any extra time than packing the bare minimum. This May I had one easy trail run (I've ran it countless times, and was supposed to be a quick easy run) that turned into a 36 hour vehicle recovery operation. Almost every tool, jack, jack stand, shovel, winch extension, and extra food ration was used or eaten by the end of it. Conditions can change and **** happens on the trail, you're better safe than sorry!

Sounds like a good trip none the less. Looking forward to the pictures!
