Wheel'n Sat. Mar. 3rd 2018; who's in?

Hi All
There's been some interest in the Bay Area/Sacramento Meet Up forum for getting together another wheel'n opportunity ... so I'm throwing it out there... who's up for wheel'n on Sat. March 3rd 2018?

No details as of yet on where to go or when to meet... hoping to crowd-source some thoughts on that... Maybe a trip to Fordyce Lake along FR85 (aka Fordyce Lake Rd) (snow depth pending)? Maybe Slate Mountain Lookout? Maybe Knoxville OHV Rec Area? Maybe something else all together? Thoughts? Suggestions? Post 'em up!

Some other options might be some trails near Donner Pass, like Schallenberger Ridge Trail, Castle Peak Trail, and Baltic Ridge/Mormon Emigrant Trail(If it opens up).

Sub'd to this one too so I don't miss anything. I'll check the calendar to see if this works out or not. I have little experience on more technical trails and have highway tires on right now... though they are M+S rated. I doubt they'd do well in deep snow though.

Don't decide the location because of me though.

EDIT: Wife has a baby shower, so that means daddy duty for me that day so I'm out. Would like to join next time though.

EDIT x2: Baby shower date was moved, so I'm back in as long as it's a single day event!

I'd love to go. Depends on location though. Bought tickets to see a show that night in San Rafael but don't mind a long drive if I can roll out early enough. Keep me updated but I would love to make it to this. As for ideas, South Cow Mtn OHV is pretty awesome, and I've heard of a low key spot near Winters as well with lots of creek crossings.... Ill talk to my coworker who goes there all the time and get the details on that as well. Hope this happens!

Dude. Hilarious. I got the notification email, got all jacked up, ran into the room to tell the wife about getting that day free... And she has a baby shower also hahaha. Too funny.

I'm down for that Sunday maybe. I still need to check out Knoxville. Even if it is super tame. Better than driving on pavement.

I'd like to see either Knoxville or cow mountain. A bit of a drive for the sac folks.

Well Ive heard Knoxville is a bust so I want to at least see if it's open before anybody wastes their time heading all this way. At any rate I think we're gonna have to get a early start to do any day trip. Sucks to not over night after all that driving.

I am in for the 3rd. [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] let’s gooooooo. !!!!! [MENTION=127339]4Reak Show[/MENTION] Knoxville is ok like you said it’s not pavement. I mean there are some spots you can get pretty tipsy in, but the majority it is all fire trails and mud if it rains good.
Still fun.
Cow mountain is awesome it a lot like hollister in the sense that there is a lot of man made obstacles. You just have to beware and not go down a dirt bike path. I did once and there was an abandoned c10 blocking the trail(it was a bad but a learning experience)
I’d say hire my wife as a babysitter and let’s hit the damn trails [emoji41]
My son is 1yr old, I think they call those play dates now a days.
