wheels tires and spacers??

hey all! i'm the proud new owner of an 04 limited and love it! my question is this...i'm looking to do a simple lift with wheels and tires at some point in the near future but i don't know exactly what direction to go in. i love the mileage i'm getting with our t4r and 90% of the driving we do it on the highway so that is one thing we want to hold on to as much as possible. i would like to be able to get a set of wheels and tires but hold onto the stock wheels and get a set of studded tires on them for the winters...so i guess my question (s) would be this...
1)what do you all like for a middle of the road agressive tire that won't kill the mileage.

2)wheels....

3)are spacers necessary?

Either keep you current set (or buy another set http://www.toyota-4runner.org/class...-running-boards-stock-radio-04-sport.html...I have for sale) and run the same size (or just a tad bigger) AT's. You probably will not need spacers. The biggest thing that you need to consider is tire weight. Unfortunately, I did not do this. I'm paying for it with a lose of ~ 2 mpg. I went to 32 AT's. Of course, you do not have to go AT's and a moderate tire that is good on the street would be a good alternative.

Spacers aren't needed unless you go with a much bigger tire. I'd advise 255/75/17's IF you want to upsize. I went this route with the Hankook Dynapro ATM's and noticed no negative effect on gas mileage. They've performed great thus far for an AT tire. Wheels are just dependant on your taste, a lot just switch to maybe sport edition wheels or some FJ cruiser wheels. since u want something slightly more aggressive,but 90% of ur driving is highway & still want good mpg, the michelin ltx at2 ,or firestone destination at will be good for ur needs. if u r getting new wheels,stick to 17s also.
