wheelspacers? what to look for?

I'm looking for 1.5" spacers, I know everyone here seems loyal to Spidertrax, my question is, I found same material, and description for slightly cheaper on Ebay, would it be worth the $60.00 difference? any stories of failure of either Spider or other brands? I appreciate your help.

i think most ppl prefer spidertrax bc its well known and the protection of the blue coating from rust. I was thinking bout getting the ones on ebay also and the major thing u wanna make sure is that it has the lugs and most ppl say to get a lock for it so it doesnt fail on u...

By lock he meant the threadlocker. its like a paste you apply on the thread of the bolt so it locks the nut in place and helps/prevents from loosening. when you buy Spidertrax spacer, the loctite paste comes with it.

One of the reasons the Spidertrax are popular is they retain the hubcentric aspect of the setup. They have the center flanges to help center the wheels. Most of the other ones don't and wheel vibrations can be a problem.

We have a few very seasoned folks who have good luck with a non-hubcentric design spacer but most prefer hubcentric for smooth highway operations.

What about reliability at high speeds? There are stories of SUV's loosing their wheels due to spacer failure on highways. I was on the verge of picking up a set, but am second-guessing it now, seeing that I am a frequent highway driver (and tend to pass people at 135km/h).

I also know that locktight is a bit*h to remove once applied.
