When I go out to ride alone I roll down the back window and use a Dakine pad like thing my wife made for me, I love it makes me feel like I have a truck. I use one bungee cord and it keeps everything nice and secure.

I was out for a 22mi ride on Saturday. My T4R was happy as a clam with my 29er and my friend's Pivot Mach 4 on the hitch rack. My friend said he was surprised at how well the 4Runner rode on the interstate.

I was wondering if I could do that for when i have more bikes than rack space, i kinda figured it was a no go... do you have a pic with how it looks?. And is it a pain to get the bike in the window without damaging the door?

Ill get you a picture next time I load her up, mother nature dedcided to snow on us last week so the DH track should be dry by now. Space wise I'm sure it helps that I ride a size small sx trail. At an angle the back tire and downtube wedge perfectly for me. It is not to difficult getting the bike back there, you just need to have carefull pedal placement. I usually load it with my two dogs already in the back ( black lab and australian shepard).

Here are the pics of my bike loaded, easy to load and even easier to get out. With the bungee the way it is it keeps the front wheel from moving even with tons of cross-wind.
