When to replace LBJ's on a 2wd?

I know, I know there are tons of threads about this but they all seem to refer to 4wd rigs. I see 150k under the "tutorial" sticky, BUT is this true for a bone stock 2wd? I have looked at them and there is no visible weaknesses and I'm certainly not opposed to doing it, just seeing how URGENT it is. Also should I do the uppers at the same time?

2wd and 4wd share the same components so the replacement interval will be the same. Most people say that you should replace them every 150k on a stock 4Runner and every 100k on a lifted one. Keep in mind that is with OEM parts. Auto part store ball joints are usually junk.
