I bought mine from walcottcb.com. Make sure your CB radio has a PA system. The cobra 19 dx iv is a good, cheap choice for a quality CB/PA.

well do you think i could find a kit like the cobra one with the convienent cigarette plug but louder then 10 watts a link would be awesome thanksss

I already linked the speakers to you.

Don't get the power plug one, it looks so sloppy and amateur. Get one that hardwires in.

The only ones that fit in the common ashtray location are the Uniden 520, Cobra 19, and Midland 1001 models

Hey, It's not like I was the first to put it there. I did a write up of the install in my build. Link is in signature.

i have a 100w whelen police speaker, however most cb's only put out 4watts so youll need to amplify almost any of them to get the full use out of them. i dont have pictures of mine its up inside the bumper as its small. it was also $80 on ebay..

I have a 100w speaker in the front bumper right below where the front licence plate would be. It is forward facing and you can hear me in the car ahead of me on the trail easily.

They are weather proof and designed to be mounted exposed.

I will post pictures later on.

Uniden PRO520

I did a similar install as Ripcord, and I think we have a similar PA speaker. I have it mounted under the hood on the pasenger side...bolts through the wheelwell.

I have a relatively detailed write-up in my Build:
