Where are the 4runners in Mexico??

I have spent the last two weeks in Mexico from as far north as Chihuahua and driven as far south as Puerto Vallarta, and during this time I have only seen 4 4runners. 1 first gen, 2 third gens, and 1 fourth gen. I expected to see many 4runners and landcruisers before leaving for mexico earlier this month. Thought they'd be super popular in Mexico, like they are in the middle east, since they are very reliable. Any insight?

All the mexicans that like toyotas live in america, all i see people of spanish decent driving are toyotas, especially 4Runners, they have good taste in vehicles!
