Where are the brake wires?

Im installing a remote car starter kit and need to access a brake wire. This wire should receive voltage when the brake pedal is depressed. I'm assuming its somewhere behind the driver kick panel but not sure where. Any ideas? Thanks

find the brake pedal and find the switch that is releases as you press the pedal down, one wire is constant power, one is activated when you press the pedal

For my '98 the brake light wire is in the loom that goes along the drivers side floor and it's a green/white wire. Check bulldogsecurity.com. And look up your 4runner year wiring diagram and it will tell you the colors for all the wires you need.
