Where did you go to college and why?

Got my undergrad BS's in Chem and in Psych at Univ. of Alabama, then went to AUM for my Master's in Clinical Psych. Technically I'm still a student of AUM but I live in T-town doing an internship.

I went to both places because they have good programs and in-state tuition. I'm applying to some PhD programs this Fall but not certain where all it will be. Definitely out-of-state this time because there aren't a lot of programs here.

If you don't have a particular area of interest, I would stick to somewhere in GA (if you can get in) until you figure it out.. That lottery education money is very nice if you have a decent GPA. I think UA is $11K/semester for out of state tuition.

i went the

community college (Orange Coast College) route to certify my undergrad work and then transferred to a 4 year school (CSU Long Beach) and studied geography and public policy. At the time this seemed like the best route b/c i could get my own place and continue to work.

I went to Rutgers University mainly because of cost and location. They offered a great science program, I received scholarships and in-state tuition, and I wanted to be close to my friends and family. I knew I wanted to go to med school so I figured it would be senseless to spiral into even more debt by going to a fancy university.

My advice: consider what classes they offer, cost of education/living, location (you will be there for 4 years so you better be happy), and look around at how the students work. Good luck!
