Where do you go to get your exhaust work done?

Where do you go to get your muffler work done?

was wondering where do people go to get their mufflers done?
1.) performance shops?
2.) the local guy
3.) midas, speedy ...
4.) a little elbow grease and a welder

Im thinking of getting it done at midas or speedy because I figure its cheaper...?

im going to put my borla kit on myself, since its pretty simple.
otherwise id take it to the dealer.....(mine i trust).

Im thinking that for soemthing like jsut a muffler or just a tip pointed out, the performance shops are charging too much. I figure the places like Midas and Speedy will be cheaper.....?

indy shops are cheaper and they will do anything you want if you pay cash, where as established places are bit more strict on policy. ie- illegal muffler, cat deletes, etc

The only thing that has me worried is how rusted the bolts are/arent..... we will soon see! Thx again I cant wait to hear it!

no problem, here is my installation link. Just get some pb blaster and spray it on the bolts with the springs on them, on the flange, first. also a little dishsoap and water in a spray bottle will help slide the hangers on and off much easier and doesn't stick around too long like wd 40. Good luck.

PBblaster is gnarly shit! When I used to work at a local marina, I used to just pass the time by spraying that stuff into styro cups and watching them melt. Im gonna grab me up bottle!
