Where do you guys have your smartphone mounted?

Trying to think of the best place to put mine. It's a 5spd, so it has to be out of the way of the shifter.

Where do you guys have yours? Pics?

If you ever consider the 99+ console swap, my iPhone fits really well in the cupholder. That's where I keep it... unless, of course, it's in my pocket.

Well, since my clock died around 2005, and my Alpine HU tells the time, I screwed a phone holder to the flat ledge in front of the useless clock. Works great. Slightly awkward getting to the rear window switch but I'm used to it.

I bought a goose neck holder and stick it in the cupholder(non 99 console) it fits great and you can see it perfectly for use as gps or for music. I'll take some pics later.

I had the goose neck thing for my iphone with the suction cup on the windsheild, it worked great.

my solution!

put a ~ 3/4" strip of non slide black material (kind you use on boats and rv to keep stuff from sliding around) inside the lip of the cup holder. use very thin double sided scotch tape to attach the material, this way you will still be able to close the cup holder or use it.

now when driving rest the phone on the cup holder. since it is on the material, it will stay in place. the phone or google nav will lean against the clock but stay in place even on hard turns.

I had the $50 verizon mount but I like this better for when I am in the city because it is low profile.

I use a vent mount from amazon. In fact I liked it so much I installed one in both cars.

I have a Kenwood HU and a cubby below that, and I bought one of those non slip rubber pads from Wal-Mart for like $5 (I think they're made to go on the dash). My phone doesn't move around at all.

Panavise mount clears the shifter nicely and makes for a clean look. I combine it with a thought out mount for my Iphone. Works like magic.
