Where Does Dome Light Whire Come And Go To?

I WAS PLANING ON PUTING A LIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING WHEEL... IT TURNES ON WHEN U OPEN THE DOOR


ONLY PROBLEM

I HAVE A 96 SR5

ONLY PROBLEM-
NO ENOUGH VOLTS (sorry caps) that are tapping into switch by driver door and seatbelt

i need to know where the wire from the dome light up top goes to the 4 door relays?

front driver? passenger? or who knows where?

little help would be nice sience my car is torn aprt right now and it 8:30 at night... dont want to spend all night on this]

the door trigger would be the best place.

Its a negative trigger, and would be best suited to use a relay.

What kind of lights are you using? And can you get you hands on a relay?

ok... let me go into more detail

iwant to place lights at the bottom of your feet to light up the foot wells when you open a door but it dosnt seem to work by tapping into the switch that notices the door is oprn or closed....


so i ahve been thinking and might just take the headliner apart and tap into the light bulb somehow.

i want to use these 12 volt accessory lights i picked up at an auto parts store...

can anyone help me on how to atach a wire to the light in hte headliner? i don want to just take everything apart!!!

there is a negative activation wire in the kickpanel / fuse box which is MUCH easier to get to.

You will need to buy a relay, but it will work much better. And will be easier.
