alright... i just bought a 94 a little while ago. gonna cruise/some offroad. i'd like to make it look a bit more high-tech.
so far, i've been able to find corner lights, signal lights, white gauges/AC panel, and air intake (btw, how the heck do i install that with all the 'mess' around it?).

i want to get some diamond headlights, some euro-type taillights, chrome valance (already scrubbing that ugly black paint off the grille to show the chrome-y color), chrome wheels (standard 16" is okay, but i'd like to upgrade to higher speed tires), etc. i like chrome, so i'd like to hype up on that if i can. also would like to install a power moonroof, but may end up installing the manual sunroof i already have. then there's the interior, too, but i'm still unsure what i want to do with that.

i havent owned a toyota before and i've never done any mods before on any vehicle. a friend of mine has a 95 tacoma that he's mod'd a bit so i have a little bit of help in that area, but it's harder than heck to find any decent supply of aftermarket mods for a 2nd gen 4runner.
if anyone knows of any place to get some good mods for a decent price for my 94, please let me know. if you have any links or pictures of 2nd gen mods, i would appreciate those as well.

thanks in advance.

btw, currently in washington for a few months, but i live in minnesota.

Sounds like to me you are going the "cruise" route more then the off-road. which is OK but Chrome wheels and higher speed tires and all the other chrome you want to do. Will take you a week to clean it after a off road trek.

I would look on e-bay for chrome stuff and Downeyoff road.com for the high performance stuff.

The intake is a matter of taking your stock air filter box and tube off and replaceing it with the new CAI. Don't expect much improvment but will clean the engine bay up a bit. Also CAI not good in off road situations.dust and water.

good luck:D

thanks, and pics are on the way... my comp is down now.

i've already been getting stuff on ebay but it just seems that the second gens are just darnder than hell to find bling-bling stuff for :p i mean, first and third gens and up have mods EVERYWHERE! why discriminate against the seconds?

true it'll be more cruising than offroading, but i'm not going to be flingin it all in mudholes and all that. a bit of light trailblazing or whatever. not exactly sure yet.

found some alright headlights for about 60 each after putting 'altezza toyota 4runner' in a search engine. still cant come up with any euro taillights.

does anyone know if the altezza lights for the 198?-95 pickups would work for the 4runner, too?

still wondering about the intake kit... know of any cheap ones that work worth anything? is it better to get the more expensive ones? or is the high intake replacement (OEM size) k&n filter as good?
and on those kits they have on ebay, would i just attach the bracket to the air hose? the adapter has a place to screw it onto a flat surface... where would that go on to?

and i'm curious what other 2nd gen'ers have done to modify their truck. i'd like to get some ideas!
