Where does the air come in from?

This maybe a stupid question but where does the air come from that goes into the air inlet? (I realize this opens me to answers that are either religious or scientific). I cannot find any scoop or funnel that goes into the passenger front quarter panel.

Thanks Chaz for the picture. I have another question for you, why is your battery on the firewall? I just love T4R.org, nice to know that there are other 4R geeks like me.

Back to the original question;
Does anyone know where the air comes in or does it just suck the air in the void between the panels? I've tried searching and see no clear path. It certainly could help HPs if there was an inlet ramming the air throught the filter etc.

thats not mine, its just a pic i pulled off the forum. the air is just sucked in behind the inner plastic fender, ( i guess thats what u call the void) are u referring to something like an air dam scoop? if so, u would get even more dirt & stuff rammed up into the filter box than there already is, some even use a pre filter (cyclone) to keep out some of what gets up there. on the side note, thats where some guys install a second battery.
