Where have you hardwired your GPS?

For a while now I have had my gps mounted just behind the transfer case shifter, but it falls over every now and then and I want to have it more in my view while driving. I was thinking about mounting it in the bottom left of the windshield ( just above the dash), or in the upper left of the windshield near the sun visor. I am kind of worried about leaving it on the suction cup mount all the time though. It might be bad if it was to fall when the windows are down, or maybe nothing would really happen. Would you mind explaining what you did/possibly posting up some pictures if you have any.

I removed the panel below the steering wheel and mounted a acc. plug. I ran the power from the fuse box so it had power when the truck was running only. I don't remember which fuse I used tho.
I then removed the left pillar trim and ran the power wire for the GPS behind that and mounted it in the upper left corner. I wet the suction cup with my tongue when I put it on. It has never fallen off. Been there since last fall.

awesome. That is exactly what I was planning on doing. I was skeptical of the suction cup mount, but if you have had it up since last fall I guess there is nothing to worry about. I was thinking about making a metal bracket and attaching it to the upper screw of the hand grip. I would have to bend it to fit close to the windshield, but I might just end up going with the suction cup mount then.
