Maaco's your best bet, and there is no "windshield gasket." Glass companies apply thier epoxy to new windshields.

So your painting your 90 runner...

I've got a 90 as well, and just had maaco give me an estimate for some body work and paint. I live near Toronto Canada, and therefore have the typical rusting out in the rear wheel wells, and tailgate. They quoted 1800 (cdn) to repair and repaint (singlecoat). He said he would expect it to rust through within a year. ??

I've talked with other people that say to have a worthwhile repair, stainless materials must be used.

Has anyone any experience with making a solid repair in these probem 4runner areas?

well mine's rust free so i'm just getting it wet sanded and a couple layers and a poly coat from this guy that's painting my 72 chevy pickup. paint alone will be $1000 american. and bodywork to smooth it would be an extra 500 so it's an ok deal.

so i need to save my gasket and somehow seal it again? it's leaking in a couple places now so i wanted a new one.
