Where is that Skid Plate Mod for easy access to the oil filter

Anyone have the link to the skid-plate Mod where someone cut an access door for removing the oil filter, on the v8? I am seriously thinking of something similar. I am getting tired of removing that thing each time.

I did three searches and look over several pages in the maintenance section with no avail.

Any drawback of just leave it off completely? Mine is a 03 2WD so it won't see rocks.

What about road-gators and such that might fly up and do damage to the oil filter or oil pan! Most road vehicles do not have skids and really do not need them. But if you have them

In April a buddy of mine hit a road-gator (a re-tread from an 18-wheeler) and it punctured a small hole and dented his oil pan. Even though they look harmless, they are heavy.
