Where is the hydrocarbon filter located?

Where is it located on the V8 and how do I get to it?

When you open the airbox to access the airfilter do you see a 'filter' to the top part that attached to the hose? That would be it... Attached to part 22204 at this link.

I have the V6 that's why my description is as it was...

After I unclip the filter box clips i cant open it fully - really only get it 1 inch or so. Do I have to disconnect one of the hoses attached to the box. Left or right or both?

I have not worked on a V8 T4R, that's my disclaimer... I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night

I'd leave the airbox clipped closed. Undo the wire and the clamp. Work the hose free then unclip the air cleaner.

I just did this, SUPER EASY.... for the V8 guys, just open the air box, and the hydrocarbon filter is located on the (airbox) lid, once you take the lid off, look under it, I just took a knife and popped off the plastic rivets. :bigok:

no, its UNDER the airbox lid... open the airbox, remove the lid, flip it over, and you will see it. heres a pic:

You don't need any tools really. Actually if you use a chisel and just lop off one corner revit then pull it down and just rip it off. It's only plastic and comes off very easy. It took all of 2 mins to do from opening the hood to closing the hood.
