Where is the Satellite Receiver Located?

I've got factory navigation and the previous owner must have added the factory XM Satellite receiver, because I have the little XM antenna on top of the truck by the tailgate. I can actually pick up a couple channels too, which seems odd...

Anyway, does anyone know where is the XM Satellite Receiver Located? I am thinking of swapping this for a Sirius unit. The only reason I want it is for NFL games and I can only get that on Sirius. Will having the XM Receiver already make the swap any easier? (ie. redundant parts, etc).

Mine is under the passenger seat. Mine was dealer installed Toyota kit.

My antenna is in the same place as yours.

With the merger of Sirius and XM, you can get the NFL games, Howard, etc on XM. They sent me a letter yesterday - the package is called "The Best of Sirius" and costs an extra $4 per month. It might be worth doing a cost/benefit analysis to see if a hardware swap makes sense...

In my 07 Limited V8, they mounted the receiver under the passenger seat.

You also get channels 1 and 247 when you don't have a subscription. It's like the preview channel.

I highly recommend XM. They have the same line-up as Sirius now, so it would be pointless to try and switch to a sirius receiver.

I checked under my passenger seat and it's not there on mine, but I guess it doesn't matter now anyway. It really would be silly to switch, given the cost.

I don't think you get the same exact lineup with XM and Sirius, but you can buy a package where you can get the popular channel from the other provider. That is what I did as drodvold suggested so I could get the NFL on XM.

As I was searching for some coupon codes to get a better deal on the subscription, I found a deal too good to be true on http://www.retailmenot.com/view/xmradio.com

You REALLY need to check this out... especially if you are looking to activate a new radio.
