Where to begin....hmmmm

So I finally got my hands on a "new to me" 2000 runner with 127k on it. One owner, runs like a dream, slight wobble at high speeds and after hitting good bumps. Obviously needs a tire balancing and I plan to put a lift on it....should fix the suspension issue. My question is this, since I only want to lift it no more than 2" what is a good system to go with? Also, will I need to replace anything else to make it right?

always a good idea to throw out your intended use of the vehicle. Are you just lifting for looks, for more off road ability? Other things to consider are additional weight you are carrying.... That can effect things a great deal.

As I sit here I have come to the understanding that a lift is probably the last thing I need to add. Obviously the drive train is the most important. I do a lot of hiking and climbing around in the great Pacific Northwest....primarily in the north cascades, north of Seattle. I am also in the stages of volunteering for our local search and rescue chapter. Just looking for some insight into what mods should be first and which to avoid. I would like to replace the air intake and exhaust but wonder if I should.

replace with total chaos lower ball joint, tie rods, upper and lower control arms and steering rack bushings, and finish it with fox resi coil overs all around then you'll be ready for as many speed bumps as you want can probaly hit them like 70mph and just float over lol but for real replace the lower ball joint, tie rods, all steering bushings and for lift get a set of billi adjustable struts and eibach coils for the front and 7 wrap LC coil and some villis for the back then it should ride super nice

mine

is about 1.5" up front and 2" in back with 99 talls up front and OME 906s in back with bilstein HDs all round. Really like the set up

That setup will cost alot...

I used Ironman 1.8" lift in front, OME in back with Propcomp ES9000 shocks. See the link in my sig for details.

You could go OME all around for 2" of lift too.

You could get adjustable coilovers and adjust them down, but they might be a bit stiff that way, and they will cost quite a bit more.
