Hello Judogti, I would like to say that I also have the same problem with my 4 Runner, someone told me to replace the spoiler on 2009 Toyota 4runner Used Rear Spoiler Assembly (Genuine OEM Quality) now the entire problem solved if you are searching for reputable place for OEM equipment so you can also try here.
Your costco works differently then mine...The Costco near me offers 15% off parts IF it's serviced at the dealer. Since I do my own servicing...it's moot.
Far far more then 15% off. One part I bought there was about 75% off of my local dealers price (which sells at MSRP). There are a few others I've used also.
But MOST of the time I never buy OEM parts. I have other ways to waste my money.
I do not know if anyone else has recommended oemparts123.com, BUT they are hands down, the cheapest TOYOTA OEM parts dealer that I have found. Village Toyota (which someone recommended earlier) was a close second in price. Hope that helps!

I am planning on ordering rear door molding for 2016 4Runner LTE. It's black in color and there isn't any option to pick the color. Is it possible to get OEM part matching the vehicle color or I have to get it painted later? Thanks!
I've been using partznet.com since I got my rig. I know there are cheaper places out there, but I like to ability to go and pick up my stuff (they are about 20 min ride from where i live).
EDIT: I'm OCD when it comes to my cars. I get OEM when I can. I have an aunt in south america who bought a 1970 Toyota Corona brand new. She had it and drove it until the mid 90s when it was handed down to my cousin who STILL drives it. Anyway, for about 25 years all that car ever saw was OEM Toyota parts and service. Not saying it lasted this long b/c of exclusively using oem parts, but it certainly didn't hurt.
My 2003 4Runner 4.7l Ltd has a small leak in the left rear suspension. Typically the suspension is x-reas. My garage advises that they can only find Toyota original parts at C$695.60 per shock (C$1390.20 total). Labor is only C$220.50 which is fine.
Please would any have an idea where I might source OEM parts - really like to buy from the US but Canada has an absurd import tax
