Where to get quality replacement rotors

Guys...

My Rotors and pads are shot. Ive found a vast selection of rear rotors but no fronts. Can anyone give me some leads on where to get some front rotors?

Napa stores have two grades of OEM replacement rotors. I've always had good luck with the NapaGold series brake rotor. I don't know if they make one for your 4Runner.
 
I'm in the same boat looking for quality rotors. I've always used Blank Brembos on all my cars and trucks. I've actually been waiting for the Brembo Blanks to be available for my 4 runner for almost 9 months to a year, but it looks like Brembo is not making them now. I have a 04 limited (17 inch wheels) Does anybody know of any other "quality" rotors that are not going to cost an arm and a leg? The blank brembos were really well priced for what you were getting

They are pretty over priced for what your getting. dont get me wrong, they are pretty decent quality and last a while but the dealership whats mega $$$ and my first born for them
 
see...thats what i call expensive!! $130 or $150 both are rediculously expensive. Especially when you can pick up Brembo blanks for half the price. Its kind of shitty though that Brembo is more involved with making rotors for the new cars and dont have the resources to make them for our trucks (and this comes from Brembo themsleves when i called them 8 months ago)
 
This may sound silly, but you might want to try eBay. I was having the same problem with getting good rotors for a realistic price on my old 2001 Trooper. I finally went to ebay and found a whole brand new brake kit with new rotors and pads (and they were NOT junk) for less than just one rotor at the dealership. They might have even been factory parts.

There was a place that specialized in them and had very good prices and excellent quality stuff. If you are doing your own work, then I see no need to get the overpriced stuff from the dealer or an installer.

Ditto except my Trooper was a '99.

Make sure you know what size rotors you have. Based on trim/equipment the 4Runner can have 1 of 2 different sizes.

If you are seduced by drilled/slotted etc., know that there are many schools of thought. It seems to spite the popularity of drilled (or drilled and slotted) just slotted seems to work best. It's been a while but the last time I got obsessed about brakes I read everything I could about replacement rotors. Cryo treated is a semi-popular option. Another thing that seems to be important (and I have personal experience that backs it up) is to "bed" the rotors & pads. Basically, you find some road where you can drive without stopping. Heat the rotors by dragging the brakes into the realm of moderate brake fade (way beyond what you'd do in modest towing or a panic stop) and then don't stop for many miles until the brakes cool down to very normal temperatures. http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

A final thing you can do is to upon stopping hold as little pressure as necessary to prevent rolling and allow the vehicle to roll a few inches every 10-15 seconds. This helps to ensure the rotor cools evenly rather than dissipate the heat through one spot on the rotor.
