Where to get replacement step pads for sport tubes?

hi guys

the step pads on my 2006 4Runner (it has sport tubes) are looking weathered

does anyone know where I can get a replacement set?

I tried to order from dealer; they are part of the entire tube, which is no longer in dealer stock. Looked at some aftermarket options, but none were the correct dimension (width and length) or they had an aftermarket name on them.

(Powdered coated my Sport's step-up tubes and rack; they look like new!)

I have the same problem but after taking the tubes off, I liked the look better and just left them off.

My plan otherwise, or if I decide to put them back on, is to PlastiDip the step pads or paint them with DupliColor Trim & Bumper paint. I used that paint on the exterior trim on my old Xterra because it gets gray and nasty after a few years. All of it was still black and looked new several years later.

Well it sounds like the step pad availability is a real bummer.

I guess I'll try to paint them with a durable "plastic" aerosol and see how that goes. The paint has a flex agent that makes it less brittle than standard enamel.
